Period: 10/01/2017
The USAID Agricultural Extension Support Activity strives to increase farmers’ access to improved extension services leading to increased household incomes, nutritional status and food security for 112,402 participating farmers. The Agricultural Extension project is being implemented by a consortium of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), CARE Bangladesh and mPower. Part of the project activity was to engage in capacity building activities of public and private extension service agents, so as to improve their service delivery to the farmers. CPL conducted the assessment of the capacity and performance of the service providers that they have supported or developed. The broad objectives were to understand the level of development of the service providers, the quality of service they provided and whether the linkages between the service providers and the beneficiaries are functioning properly. The team deployed comparative analysis between project beneficiary and non-beneficiary to assess the project impact.
