Client: Oxfam Bangladesh
Period: May – June 2018
Oxfam has partnered with Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI), Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA) and Jagorani Chakra Foundation (JCF), and together they are working on generating market transformations in the construction sector, promoting alternative bricks (ABs) and other green construction technologies amongst consumer and producer groups for wider replication and commercialization across Bangladesh. The overall objective of the Action is to contribute to a reduction in GHG emissions, deforestation and land degradation in Bangladesh. The specific objective is to promote sustainable and eco-friendly building materials and practices in Bangladesh within an enabling policy environment. CPL has been commissioned by OXFAM to conduct a mid-term evaluation of the project to review the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability and impact of the project interventions. The evaluation will mostly be qualitative and will build upon the baseline and monitoring data against the key indicator data. Moreover, this mid-term evaluation will provide the opportunity for accountability towards the project stakeholders, as well as important learning for the project teams and partners.
