Asif Mahmud is a Research Associate working in the development research and policy analysis sector. He holds an MSc and a BSc in Agricultural Economics from Sylhet Agricultural University and has seven years of academic research experience, supported by one year of professional experience in the development sector. Since 2025, he has been working at Consiglieri Private Limited (CPL), where he is responsible for proposal development, research design, quantitative and qualitative tool development, ODK and KoboToolbox programming, field coordination, data quality assurance, statistical analysis using SPSS and STATA, and technical report preparation. He has contributed to more than ten peer-reviewed academic publications and several applied research studies. His research interests include agricultural economics, rural development, market systems, value chain analysis, climate change, poverty dynamics, food security, sanitation and circular economy, and evidence-based policy support.
