Dr. Zaheed Halim is a full time academic currently working as an early career development fellow at the School of Business IT and Logistics, RMIT. He is Chairman of Consiglieri Private Limited. He has an Industrial Engineering background. After finishing his master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University, he has attained a PhD in management from Deakin University. His PhD thesis was focused on complexities in supply chain which investigated how supply chain complexity impacts firms’ operational performance and what role supply chain orientation plays in complexity-performance relationship. The study made an original contribution to the academic literature by empirically identifying the key dimensions of supply chain complexity and their implications for firms’ cost performance and schedule attainment.
Dr. Zaheed has been in the academia since 2005. He has profound knowledge on Logistics and Supply Chain Concepts, Agile Supply Chains, Outsourcing, Information & Communication Technology in Supply Chains, Supply Chain Planning and Design, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Planning etc. His areas of research interest are supply chain strategy, complexity, supply chain innovation & learning, and supply chain sustainability. Throughout his academic journey till date, he has published six journal articles and presented in several international conferences and two of his recent articles are currently under review. Besides, he has collaborated with academics from different universities in different research projects. Moreover, he has worked closely with private companies and industry bodies, as he aims to be a researcher with a high impact in both academia as well as industry.
