The capacity assessment aimed to identify capacity development needs of Women’s Rights Organizations (WROs), Women-Led Organizations (WLOs), and their networks (BWHP and WCLP), using tailored assessment tools and participatory frameworks. Following a literature review a self-assessment tool of OCA was adapted and tested. Key frameworks included Oxfam’s Organizational Capacity Assessment Tool (six domains), the Feminist MEAL Framework, and Human-Centered Design (HCD). Data collection involved 21 WROs/WLOs as survey samples, 15 IDIs with WROs/WLOs, and 5 KIIs with donors, along with a stakeholder workshop to review the self-assessment tool, gather feedback, and explore capacity needs. In addition, a set of criteria for granting mechanisms for humanitarian and capacity/organizational development grants and care grants, specifically targeting WROs, WLOs, and their humanitarian networks was generated.
