Project Description

A review of GBVH interventions, participatory needs assessment, multistakeholder workshops and support the industry action framework launch on Gender Based Violence & Harassment (GBVH) in the Bangladesh garment sector

Consiglieri’s role in this assessment includes identifying the reasons of GBVH persisting in Bangladesh’s garment sector despite existing policies. Following HCD method and tools like plotted storytelling in 8 FGDs and journey mapping in 22 IDIs, the study aimed to explore workers’ lived experiences across factories and communities. The goal is to identify system-level gaps and practical reforms needed to create safer reporting mechanisms and sustainable prevention strategies. Under this study, workshops with workers and women’s rights groups will be organized by Kormojibi Nari and facilitated by Consiglieri. In collaboration with Kormojibi Nari and ETI, three national-level multi-stakeholder workshops will also be conducted, engaging government and non-government regulatory bodies, rights-based organizations, and factory management. Consiglieri will facilitate these workshops to generate actionable recommendations and inform intervention design.
