The main objective of the project was to improve the living status of the informal waste and sanitation workers while creating an inclusive system to strengthen the overall waste management system of the four targeted project towns (Faridpur, Bagerhat, Barguna and Gazipur). For this Baseline study, Consiglieri had done a qualitative study to identify the current market value chain of the whole waste and sanitation management process of the selected areas and all the stakeholders that are related to this entire process. Using a chain referral system, the data was collected from 95 respondents through case studies, KIIs and FGDs.
