Blue Gold Program, which started on 2013, had been interested
in deploying some smart and efficient renewable energy solutions to mitigate the energy demands in the polder areas. To identify the most promising and feasible renewable energy- based solution(s), the study was focused on two phases or milestones, Phase A – Shortlisting the most suitable and potential renewable energy based technologies; Phase B – Feasibility analysis for selecting the most promising and feasible renewable energy based solution(s) for scale up. Consiglieri adopted customized Sustainability Assessment of Technologies (SAT) method in assessing feasibility of RE based technologies. This study was mostly qualitative in nature. The data collection areas were Satkhira, Khulna, Jessore, Kushtia, Bagerhat and Dhaka.
