Project Description
Food Security Assessment by TPM
Consiglieri Private Limited (CPL) carried out the “Food Security Assessment in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) by TPM” as WFP’s Third-Party Monitoring partner. The study aimed to generate reliable household-level evidence on food security, nutrition, and livelihood conditions in one of Bangladesh’s most vulnerable and hard-to-reach regions.
The assessment followed a quantitative household survey approach and covered a sample size of 1,065 households across 32 unions in 12 upazilas of Rangamati, Bandarban, and Khagrachhari districts. CPL recruited and trained local enumerators from both indigenous and Bengali communities, prioritizing cultural sensitivity, language accessibility, and the establishment of trust with respondents.
