To reduce the rapidly increasing demand-supply gap of high- quality Jute seeds, AVC supported private input companies for the production and marketing of high and uniform quality jute seeds in 2015. In this regard, AVC contracted Consiglieri to conduct a study to analyze the outcomes and impacts of the introduction of the new variety jute seed in the 2016 March- May season. This qualitative study used 8 FGDs and 40 IDIs. Data was collected from the respondents of Jhenaidah, Chuadanga, and Meherpur.
