Recognizing the importance of pineapple production and marketing for the farmers of Madhupur and Fulbaria, CCDB hired Consiglieri to conduct a study to assess the pineapple market and find out ways to link the info to the value chain actors to ensure proper price and sustainable production. Consiglieri conducted a market analysis with the objective of assessing and analyzing production level of pineapple in the project area and their post-harvest processing including marketing scenarios. DFID’s value chain analysis approach was adopted for analysis of this study. This qualitative study used a grounded theory approach with conducting FGDs and IDIs.
